HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO BUY FOR THE UNIFORM?
At the very minimum, you will need the following:
Kindergarten - blue Lion t-shirt
1st - 3rd grade - blue uniform dress shirt: short or long sleeve.
4th - 5th grade - blue or tan uniform dress shirt: short or long sleeve.
Council patch that says "Northern New Jersey Council"
Patches of numbers 2 and 0
Purple Fleur-de-lis patch (World Crest Patch)
Hat that corresponds to your scout's den level
Neckerchief that corresponds to your scout's den level
DO I HAVE TO SEW THE PATCHES ON THE UNIFORM?
You don't have to sew them on, as they can adhered using a product called “badge magic”. However, adhered patches will eventually start coming off. If you want to have them sewn-on but you don't know how to, you can take them to a local dry cleaners. Some will sew them on for $1.00 per patch. To be sure, ask them first, though.
